Yujin Hoshida, MD, PhD

Hoshida, Yujin 2016 120x160Dr. Hoshida is a physician scientist trained for clinical management of chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer patients, and specialized in genomic analysis of clinical specimens with extensive published works in the area of molecular classification and prognostic assessment with particular focus on liver cirrhosis and cancer. He has been leading several international collaborative liver genomics studies utilizing high-throughput omics technologies, integrative clinical and cross-species genomic analysis over the past decade. The current focuses of his lab includes identification and validation of prognostic molecular biomarkers in global liver cirrhosis/cancer population affected with NAFLD by analyzing clinical specimens from Europe, Asia, and America, establishment of consensus molecular classification of liver cancer, and development of nanotechnology-based targeted drug delivery system for treatment and prevention of liver cancer, through national and international collaborations.
