Dr. Rajarshi Banerjee graduated in medicine from the University of Oxford in 2002, and completed his general medical training in London. He returned to Oxford as a British Heart Foundation Fellow, graduating with a DPhil in 2013. During this spell, he pioneered quantitative liver imaging for clinical use, and is now Chief Executive of Perspectum Diagnostics. He continues to work as a Consultant Physician with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, and is interested in phenotyping liver disease at an individual and population level in adults and children. Perspectum coordinates the UK Biobank efforts to measure liver health in 100,000 volunteers to measure the burden and breadth of disease. He has many years of experience in running clinical trials and working in multidisciplinary scientific teams to develop applications for cutting edge imaging technology, and is a keen advocate of adaptive trial design.
