Young Investigator

To be eligible for the Young Investigator's fee, one should be 35 years of age or younger and either be a current Master/PhD student or have obtained a MD/PhD/PharmD degree in the last ten years.

Young investigators form needs to be completed by a supervisor and received by the workshop secretariat (christina.respati@expertmedicalevents.com) at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the workshop.

Group Registration

For registration of groups larger than 5 persons, use the Group Registration Portal.

Sponsored Attendance

If you are invited by a pharmaceutical or diagnostic company or if your registration is organized by a travel agency, please do not register online or by fax. The sponsoring company will be asked to register you via the conference secretariat.

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation, the following refunds are applicable:

  • Cancellation before/on 1 April 2021: 50% refund (minus an administration fee of €35)
  • Cancellation after 1 April 2021: Unfortunately, no refund will be given

If you are unable to attend the conference, a substitute delegate is always welcome at no extra charge, provided that a letter of authorization from the original participant has been received and the conference secretariat has been notified of the name of the substitute delegate before 10 May 2021. A statement (email/letter/fax) of cancellation must be sent to Expert Medical Events.

Liability and Insurance

By registering for the conference, participants agree that the organizers do not accept responsibility for medical, travel, or personal insurance. Participants are advised to take out their own insurance policies.

Media Registration

In order to register as a media participant for the workshop, the conference secretariat needs to receive proof of accreditation. A reduced registration fee may apply for accredited media participants. Please contact the conference secretariat for registration conditions. A program/abstract book will be provided on site.

Accreditation may take the form of a photocopy of official press credentials or a letter verifying assignment to the workshop on the stationary of the media organization concerned. Freelance journalists should submit copies of three bylined articles on Pediatric in addition to an official letter of assignment. Newsletter writers and editors must submit three issues of their newsletter containing at least one bylined article by the applicant. All credentials will be verified by the Organizing Committee of the workshop.

Media participants may not register online, but are requested to send the above-mentioned information to info@expertmedicalevents.com .

Important: Media is restricted to the written press. Recording on film or photo is not allowed. Expert Medical Events will request a copy of the written piece once it is finalized. Media representatives must also agree to abide by the 2019 embargo policy.

Young Investigators/Resource-Limited Settings (RLS) Academia

We are pleased to offer free registration to young investigators and academia from low-income and lower-middle-income countries with an accepted abstract and a 50% discount on the registration fee without an accepted abstract. 

IMPORTANT: Free registration is offered to the presenting author only.

To be eligible as a young investigator, one should be 35 years of age or younger and either be a current Master/PhD student or have obtained a MD/PharmD/PhD degree in the last five years. An application form needs to be completed by a supervisor and received by the Expert Medical Events secretariat at least two weeks prior to the start of the workshop. Expert Medical Events will contact the young investigator with instructions regarding the registration procedure.

Media registration

In order to register as a media participant for the Workshop, the conference secretariat needs to receive:

  1. Proof of accreditation
  2. Valid identification (e.g. passport).
  3. A letter from your editor/publisher stating the details of your assignment
  4. At least 3 previous written assignments in recognized outlets on hepatitis. If you are a freelance journalist, the assignments can be from different (recognizable) news outlets. Links to the online publications are accepted.
  5. The website of the publication(s)/ Blog(s) that will be featuring your story on this workshop

A free or reduced registration fee may apply for accredited media participants depending on availability. Preference will be given to credible print and online news sources. Italian Agency for AIFA procedure

Any Italian pharmaceutical company supporting or participating in a congress abroad, is subjected to an authorization by AIFA (Italian Drug Agency), according to an Italian Government Decree (Decreto Legislativo 219/06 art. 124).

Dinner
