The symposium on Key Issues in Liver Transplantation was designed to address key issues in the pre- and post-transplant management of the liver transplant candidate with NASH. Emphasis is placed on assessment and management of metabolic complications and cardiovascular disease. A primary goal of the workshop is to define controversial issues in pre-transplant evaluation, management and treatment of NASH and to review critical issues in post-transplant management to optimize graft function and patient outcome.
